Wow! Watta news it'd be if the title of this post turns true. Every Indian football fan is hoping for such a miracle. And football experts predict if India goes at this rate, it'd probably take a century for us to get into the World Cup finals. I guess that won't happen till I'm alive!
A month of football festival is finally over and Spain are crowned Champions.This World Cup is quite different from the previous editions as the Spanish have won the title with less count of goals, winning most of their matches with a 1-0 scoreline.We had some unexpected winners of the Golden stuff, the Golden boot was awarded to Thomas Mueller and the Golden Ball to Diego Forlan! Worthy indeed.
Well, this edition has a lotta lows. Here's a list from my perspective.
- Empty seats. This would be surely the first time a FIFA event failed to pull up mass.
- Upsets. France, Italy et al bowed out very early.
- England national team suck at Int'l events!
- Refereeing. Horrible!
Talking about the best, I can say. .
- Camera work. Pure ultramotion replays. Stunning!
- Vuvuzelas! Man, they were noisy!! Pe pe pe pe. .
- Football was delivered beautifully. Credits to Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Argentina
- The hosts. They've shown the world how it should be done!
Coming back to the post's title, we Indians really suck at soccer. This WC would have surely ignited some football in the kids' minds. Google says Indians rank 3rd in googling about football stuff.
